Eight year framework agreementhe between UK’s Briggs Group and Denmark’s Dong Energy for the contingency and repair of export and array cables for offshore wind farms throughout the UK and Northern Europe.
The agreement covers all of Dong Energy’s sites in Europe, including nine offshore wind farms in the UK, five in Denmark and four in Germany.
Benj Sykes, VP and head of Asset Management for Dong Energy Wind Power said: “Ensuring that export and array cable issues are quickly resolved is vital to maintaining reliable operation of our wind farms. This framework agreement builds on our existing relationship with the Briggs Group and is designed to ensure availability of power and mitigate against any possible production losses.”
