A 500 km fibre optic route completed by F6 Networks

Canada’s F6 Networks, a New Brunswick provider of dark fibre and network services, completed of its 500 km northern New Brunswick Route connecting the communities of Doaktown, Miramichi, Shippagan, Bathurst, Dalhousie and Campbellton to its international telecom backbone.

F6 Networks owns and operates an open access, high capacity fibre network that connects New Brunswick to the Northeast US, Nova Scotia and Quebec, Canada.

The company said that it was able to conduct the project with CANARIE as an anchor customer and the support of the Government of New Brunswick. CANARIE designs and delivers digital infrastructure, and drives its adoption for Canada’s research, education and innovation communities. F6 Networks also worked with Bell and NB Power, which own the pole infrastructures in order to deliver the project.
