Testing new EClips fastener system

Lockdowel-manual_0Lockdowel,  a designer and manufacturer of innovative fastening systems for cabinets, closets, casegoods and other woodworking applications, has reported that cabinets built using its patent pending EClips fastener system, a new single-piece fastener line, passed all 14 ANSI/BIFMA standard test protocols in testing recently completed by Integrity Testing Laboratories. Cabinet assemblies were loaded with weights ranging from 700 lbs. to as high as 1550 lbs. Testing was conducted to Woodwork Institute (WI) Certification Standards.

“All submitted samples performed well with no structural failures or loss of serviceability,” said Integrity Testing Laboratories. “These typical cabinet structures assembled with both the Lockdowel Channel Lock fasteners and the Lockdowel H-clip fasteners meet the structural requirements of the requested testing.”

Lockdowel introduced its EClips fastener product line in November 2015 to help cabinet manufacturers lower cabinet production cost by eliminating gluing and glue clamping. Lockdowel says its EClips fasteners also speed up cabinet assembly with a simple push-in or slide-in fastener install.
